Notes from the field

Hi, I'm Shea, but some people call me Bhuds. I started playing hockey at the age of 10 in Napier, NZ. The most influential person on my career was my dad; he always supported me as a kid and took me to training. Since then my hockey career has taken me around the world and I spent a lot of time playing in Europe. I achieved my first international cap in 2005 and have played for the Black Sticks over 300 times since. I am a Sports Director, based in Napier. When I am not working or training I enjoy spending time with my family and my dog, Rio.

Shea's Ritual

I always sit at the front of the bus.
